Strengthening Access to Justice and Enhancing Community Responses
Fifty Traditional Leaders disaggregate by sex/gender from six (6) districts stretching as far as the Liberian-Ivorian border were engaged and trained on the Constitution of Liberia and various other statues including, the Inheritance, Customary, Forest, Land rights and Domestic Laws, Gender Equity, legal proceedings, court precedents, settlement of disputes and the legal referrer pathways for Rape and Domestic Violence Cases. As a result of the training, these 50 Traditional Leaders have understanding about the contents and applications of the above laws and are exercising their traditional authority within the context of the rule of law and existing legal frameworks as anticipated by the project
