Upholding the Rule of Law — IDAD's Fight for Constitutional Governance
IDAD's Rule of Law program advances constitutional governance and legal accountability across Liberia through strategic engagement with judicial institutions, civil society, and policymakers. The program scored a significant milestone when IDAD and InfoQuest jointly welcomed a landmark Supreme Court ruling affirming the principles of separation of powers and democratic governance — a decision both organizations described as a critical step in consolidating Liberia's constitutional order. Building on this momentum, IDAD and partner civil society organizations have also called for the full implementation of key provisions of the Education Reform Law, underscoring the organization's commitment to ensuring that enacted legislation delivers tangible benefits for Liberian citizens. Across both fronts, IDAD continues to use the rule of law as a lever for systemic change — holding institutions accountable and advocating for a Liberia where no person or entity is above the law.
