IDAD Liberia works to promote democratic governance, rule of law, social justice, and sustainable development through research, advocacy, civic engagement, and capacity building across Liberia.
A democratic, just, and equitable Liberia where all citizens enjoy their rights, participate meaningfully in governance, and benefit from transparent, accountable institutions.

The Institute for Democratic Action and Development is founded in Monrovia, Liberia to strengthen democratic institutions, promote civic education, and advance the rule of law across all fifteen counties.

IDAD launches its first Legal Aid Clinics providing free legal assistance to citizens in Montserrado County. Over 300 citizens receive legal support in the first year.

In partnership with the National Elections Commission, IDAD trains over 200 community civic educators across 6 counties ahead of the 2017 general elections.

IDAD prints and distributes over 1,000 copies of the Liberian Constitution and key legislation to rural communities, civil society groups, and local leaders.

IDAD launches the Democracy Fellowship programme, placing 12 emerging governance leaders in year-long advocacy and research assignments.

IDAD publishes a landmark study on natural resources governance in Liberia, informing national policy debates across resource-rich counties.

IDAD launches a Peace and Security programme focused on conflict prevention, transitional justice, and community reconciliation across Liberia.
